For applying to attend the Summer School please send us: 

  • Abstract of your PhD project, stressing the relevance of translation history for it and - if already elaborated - providing information on what translation history methods you are going to use. (approx. 150 words)
  • Bio note (including your publications)
  • Letter of motivation (approx. 100 words)

Applications can be handed in until May 15th 2017 at:

Attendance fee:

Depending on the date of your application (all needed documents sent to us):


Early bird (until April 15th, 2017): 160 EUR

Normal (until May 15th, 2017): 180 EUR

Students of ID-TS member institutions: 130 EUR

The attendance fee has to be paid upon arrival.



The attendance fee includes all coffee breaks, lunch (THUR, FRI, SAT, MON, TUE) and one dinner.



The attendence fee does not include accomodation. However, if you are interested, we can put you into contact with students of our centre who have vacant rooms in their (shared) apartments during the perioud of our Summer School. Please let us know, if you want to make use of this (rather cheap or even free) option. 


Travel cost:

If you wish to apply for financial aid from an exchange programmes (or other institutions) to cover your travel costs, we shall gladly assist you in the process.
